Individuals or groups can make donations to be directed to other registered charities or non-profit groups. It must be noted the recipient agency must meet the recipient criteria consistent with our Foundation Bylaws and Canadian tax regulations. For registered charities such as Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc., CRA supports these transfers. For non-profit groups such as local sports teams or community service groups, a donor may request the Foundation Board of Directors consider approval of the gift be applied to fund activities or events, purchase equipment or paraphernalia, special celebrations, etc. for the named group.
Use Form CF010 – Consideration of a Grant to a Non-Profit Application and explain the project this grant request will support. Form CF007 Activity/Event/Purchase Follow-Up report must be completed by the receiving group within 60 days following completion of the project.
